A new fighting game for Baki, entitled Baki: the king of souls, will appear on mobile devices sometime in 2022. Like most mobile games, the game itself will be free to play, but will feature microtransactions. Baki: the king of souls is part of a project to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the series. It will feature characters from the Baki and Baki hanma series. The game’s Twitter account will announce playable characters ahead of the game’s release. Baki and Baki Hanma are available for streaming through Netflix.
There are many other collaborations and campaigns to celebrate Baki30th anniversary of. For example, the Pop Up Parade figures of Baki, Doppo and Kaoru are now open for pre-order via Good smile company. Good Smile first announced these numbers at WonHobby 34 last year.
Baki isn’t the only animated series with a mobile game on the horizon. In December 2021, the two Jujutsu kaisen and Black clover announced that they would appear on mobile devices. As the Baki game, they will be free-to-play with gacha elements and microtransactions. Jujutsu Kaisen: Ghost parade and Black Clover Mobile will also be released in 2022, although the exact release window is unknown.
Baki: the king of souls will appear sometime in 2022 on Android and iOS devices. There is currently no news as to whether Baki: the king of souls will have an outing abroad.
