Blaseball developers to release puzzle game next year

The Game Bands are currently known as the orchestrators of Blaseball, a weird democratic simulation of a baseball league that I guess people love. For a slice of something entirely different, the studio is releasing Where Cards Fall, a puzzle game originally prototyped a decade ago. It’s already available on Apple Arcade and is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch early next year.

“I made the first prototype of Where Cards Fall ten years ago in my college room.” says Game Band founder Sam Rosenthal. “This game has grown with me for most of the past decade, and I never imagined so many talented hands would help bring it to life. We couldn’t be more excited for Switch and PC gamers to discover our story for the very first time. time. “

“Where Cards Fall is a slice of life story where you build castles of cards to bring formative memories to life,” Game Band said. “Create paths through dreamlike space puzzles to navigate the insecurities and emotions of high school and beyond.”

In the Rosenthal walkthrough above, you can see the puzzles being solved. The piles of cards become castles of cards of varying sizes and heights. Controlling the size and shape of each house as you encounter stacks of cards will help you solve a total of 50 puzzles throughout the story.

Compared to Blaseball’s unpredictable “story” and minimal web UI, this story-based puzzle full of colorful dioramas is certainly a whole different tone for the lords of fantasy sport.

Game Band says Where Cards Fall is coming To smoke, the Epic Game Store and the Nintendo Switch in early 2021.
