505 Games and Kojima Productions announced that Death Stranding will be available on the PC Game Pass service starting next week.
According the announcementthe original PC version of the adventure starring Norman Reedus will hit the service on August 23.
The PC Game Pass version will include a few more technical bells and whistles, including ultrawidescreen support, photo mode, higher frame rate, and DLC crossover from cyberpunk 2077 and Half Life 2.
There will also be additional cosmetics for PC Game Pass players that will unlock as you play through the game. They include the following:
- ‘Ludens Mask’ Gold Chiral/Omnireflector Sunglasses (Color Variant)
- Gold and silver power skeleton
- Gold and Silver Offroad Skeleton
- Gold and silver armor plate
Of note, the version appears to be the original version of Death Strandingand not the Director’s cut. So no racetrack either Director’s cut additions, unfortunately.
The game puts you in the shoes of Sam Porter Bridges by Norman Reedus. He’s trying to reconnect America by delivering mail. As you’d expect from a Kojima game, it’s not that clear cut. Check out our review of the original game here.
