Following the likes of Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn, Looks like Sony Following PS4 to PC the port will be Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, according to some investor documents.
In a presentation [PDF] Released for Sony’s investor relations day overnight, the company seems to be blurting out that Uncharted 4 will be heading to PC to join other PlayStation properties that have been making the jump in recent times.
The game appears on a slide titled “More PC Versions Planned” alongside Days Gone, which released on PC last week (although it wasn’t as popular as Horizon Zero Dawn on the platform) . There’s no official word from Sony about this port at the time of writing, but maybe we’ll hear more about it during today’s Horizon-focused inventory. Forbidden West.
Perhaps a second life on PC will be added to the 37 million people who have already downloaded the game.
Elsewhere in the presentation, Sony described its intention to strengthen its user base from 160 million to 1 billion, citing the investment in PlayStation Now as a key way to attract new users to the platform.
“Sony intends to continue investing or partnering with external studios in addition to investing in its internal studios to improve its software offering,” the presentation said, suggesting that the company is preparing to compete with Microsoft and the Xbox Game Pass.
PlayStation seems to want to expand into other areas and make games as widely available as possible; its expansion to PC, alongside the focus on growing PS Now, suggests that – despite impressive sales of the PS5 – the company is turning away from consoles for its future business.
