Today during the Jump Festa celebration in Japan, Korean developer Pearl Abyss unveiled a new Black Clover mobile game.

The game is actually developed by Vic Game Studio, a subsidiary of Pearl Abyss, and for now “Black Clover Mobile” is just a working title.

It will be released in Japan at least in 2022 and promises to bring you famous scenes from the anime back to life.

As usual, you can definitely expect free-to-play with an optional microtransactions business model, like most games on iOS and Android.

Below you can enjoy the trailer and some screenshots from the accompanying press release. You could say it looks better than the Black Clover: Quartet Knights console game that Bandai Namco released a while ago. It will be interesting to see if this impression holds up as more are revealed.

Yuuki Tabata’s original Black Clover manga debuted in 2015 and it’s still ongoing. Like most successful properties on Shonen Jump, it spawned a long-running anime series in addition to additional media adaptations.

As of now, no information on a Western release has been shared, but Pearl Abyss is already operating in North America and Europe with its popular MMORPG Black Desert, so the possibility exists. We will have to wait and see.
