Bandai Namco Teases New Elden Ring IP Developments
Bandai Namco, publisher of the latest Soulslike open-world game produced by FromSoftware and George RR Martin, says Elden Ring will have “various developments” as an IP.
FromSoftware’s Elden Ring is directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. It comes after Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro, and is now available on all consoles except Nintendo Switch.
Elden Ring is a celebration of all the expertise FromSoftware has accumulated over the years. Fans and newcomers alike have praised the game. Elden Ring has one of the highest Metacritic scores of all time and has sold over 12 million copies worldwide as of March 16, 2022.

Comments on Bandai Namco’s success suggest developments in the media mix
Expect more Elden Ring expansions, not only as a game, but also using IP (like characters) in different ways.
Bandai Namco President Yasuo Miyakawa said the company “will continue to develop Elden Ring so that it reaches various fields, not just games.”
Expectations for the future
Novels, manga, movies, plays, and live-action adaptations of characters from Elden Ring lore are all possible. Bandai Namco regularly makes anime adaptations for its games, so an Elden Ring anime is plausible. A sequel to Elden Ring is extremely likely.
