In early March, Blizzard Entertainment announced that one of its most famous and successful titles, World of Warcraft, would be coming to mobile.
With an official reveal slated for May, it’s almost time to see it in action.

What to expect from the WoW mobile game
Although Blizzard has revealed very little about the upcoming WoW mobile game so far, here’s what we know so far and what we can expect on launch day.
Although we don’t have an official WoW mobile game release date, we do know when the game will be revealed.
We will finally have more information about the WoW mobile game in May 2022.

Mobile platforms can be overwhelming in nature due to screen size and lack of buttons to accommodate World of Warcraft’s many spells and abilities. Sure, there are classes that can get by with just four to five buttons, but even then getting them all into a handheld device can be tricky.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that most, if not all, mobile MMORPGs tend to work with a handful of spells and offer top-down gameplay, which makes it easier to translate moves.
While we never see WoW go top-down, we do see the game eventually introducing new changes.
One possible approach is that Blizzard could simply limit spells by only including base rotation spells from classes such as Frost Mages with Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Flurry and Frozen Orb, although this would raise questions about how d Other spell categories like utility, mobility, and defensives would work (if any). With some classes and specs relying heavily on these types of spells, the game could get a bit messy when reduced to limited spells.
Other than that, normal WoW game features such as dungeons, raids, and PvP content can all fit nicely in mobile form, and probably wouldn’t need massive changes to translate.
Although WoW relies heavily on high processing power, we expect the WoW mobile game to have the necessary support to be properly optimized for mobile devices.
With the advancement of mobile platforms for gaming, a mobile game may be able to match the graphics of low-end graphics settings on PC, and will most likely be stylized towards modern WoW art like the Shadowlands expansion by opposition to more classic extensions.

All World of Warcraft Mobile Apps So Far
The arrival of WoW on mobile may come as a surprise, but it wouldn’t be the first time the series has offered a mobile app.
With apps like the WoW Companion app, World of Warcraft Mobile Armory, and even Blizzard Mobile Authenticator all offering utilities and services for and around World of Warcraft, the upcoming mobile game won’t be the series’ first foray into the cellphone.
Previous renders have even offered Auction House usage and engagement from mobile, bringing parts of WoW to mobile devices years ago.
