Resident Evil Village, Biomutant and more

We are moving towards the end of spring. Now, with PC game releases and content drops in May 2021, we’ll see offers like Resident Evil Village, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Biomutant, King of Seas, and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground. The month also has remasters, re-releases, ports, DLC, and new seasons including Legendary Mass Effect Edition, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster, Days Gone, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids, and Destiny 2is the coming season. Additionally, among other PC game releases in May 2021, there are also those leaving or entering Early Access like Subnautica: Below Zero, Solasta: Crown of the Magister, Snow Queen, and GetsuFumaDen: Eternal Moon.

Almighty: kill your gods (Runwild Entertainment): May 5 (Early Access)

This action RPG lets you team up with three other friends to take on monsters and gods.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition (Games 4A): May 6

Exodus metro is already a beautiful game and this new edition (which will be free for all owners) is designed with ray tracing in mind. Make no mistake, you need some ridiculously beefy gear for this one. You can see the system requirements in the image below.

Resident Evil Village (Capcom): May 7

The eighth major part of the resident Evil the franchise brings you more survival horror and action. Please note that the multiplayer game, Resident Evil Re: Verse had to launch alongside Resident Evil Village. Unfortunately, it was postponed until the end of the summer.

Nongunz: Doppelganger edition (Brainwashing Gang): May 7

Originally released in 2017, this remastered version of Metroidvania roguelike (or roguevania) features arena mode and local co-op. You will have to kill quickly in order to increase your number of combos.

Hood: outlaw and legends (Digital Sumo): May 10

Two teams of four players each will attempt to pull off daring heists in this grim and brutal medieval world.

This adventure platform game lets you solve puzzles while playing as a robot.

Destiny 2 upcoming season (Bungie): May 11

Bungie has yet to release more information on Destiny 2is the coming season. However, we do know that the Vault of Glass will be making a comeback.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids (Ubisoft): May 13

The first extension for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Wrath of the Druids, was due out in April. It was hit with a delay and will now launch in May. It will feature Eivor facing threats in the Haunted Forests, while also trying to gain influence from the Gaelic kings.

GetsuFumaDen: Eternal Moon (Konami): May 13 (early access)

The original GetsuFumaDen released in 1987, never making it outside of Japan. It’s quite surprising that the title ends with a sequel that takes place 1,000 years after the events that happened. This action roguelike with Metroidvania elements will enter Early Access in May 2021.

This collection contains the original Mass Effect trilogy in remastered form.

Publisher Devolver Digital loves quirky and quirky stuff, and this collection from Deconstructeam is no exception. You have 10 short games, including one about a hitman’s flower arrangements and acting careers mixed with deck-based mechanics.

After exploring the vast unknown of space, players will finally be able to traverse planets in this Dangerous elite expansion.

Sunless Sky: Sovereign Edition (Failbetter Games): May 19

Sunless sky originally released in early 2019 (you can check out our review). The Sovereign Edition, meanwhile, adds improvements to character progression, a new engine, trading options, and more. It will be a free update for current owners.

Frozenheim (Paranoid Interactive): May 20 (Early Access)

In Snow Queen, you will lead a band of Viking warriors as you attempt to make a living off the land. The game features RTS combat and city management mechanics.

City KO (Velan Studios / EA): May 21

As the game’s slogan says: “This is not dodge ball. This is a scam! ” City KO is to form a team and make wacky moves to eliminate your rivals. It also offers cross play for PC and other consoles.

An open world adventure game that combines shooting, melee combat, martial arts, and even mutant abilities.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remastered (Atlus): May 25

17 years later Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne Out, a remastered version with HD graphics will arrive for PC in May 2021.

Explore a procedurally generated world, navigate uncharted waters, find treasure, and detonate enemy ships on the ocean floor.

Capcom Arcade Stadium (Capcom): May 25

Capcom Arcade Stadium contains a plethora of the studio’s biggest coin hits from 1984 to 2001. Initial download contains 1943: The Battle of Midway. However, there are also three packs that you can purchase separately. Some of the games here include Bionic Commando, Ghouls’ n Ghosts, Final Fight, Strider, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, and Battle circuit.

Erica (Flavourworks): May 25

Erica is an interactive thriller based on FMV. It originally came out for the PS4 a few years ago, and it’s now making its way to PCs.

Solasta: crown of the magisterium (Tactical Adventures): May 27

Solasta: crown of the magisterium became an Early Access title last year. It will finally have its official launch in May 2021. It is a GPRC which aims to remain faithful to the Dungeons & Dragons set of table rules.
