During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer announced that Valheim is one of many games coming to the PC Game Pass service later in 2022. This will give gamers another way to access and play the game if they do not. I don’t want to buy Valheim directly.
One of the most popular survival games ever made, Valheim gives players the ability to build, craft, and fight their way to Valhalla in a Norse-themed afterlife. To prove themselves worthy of Odin, players will need to create shelter, mine metal ores, forge weapons and armor, grow food, brew mead, and sail across vast oceans. Valheim also features many different biomes for players to explore, each featuring unique terrain, weather, materials, and enemies.
It’s unclear whether or not players playing on the PC Game Pass version of Valheim will be able to play with people using the Steam version. However, we expect them to because many previous Steam games that have come to Game Pass have supported cross-play. Ultimately, however, we won’t know until Microsoft or the Iron Gate developers share more information.
