Maquette is a unique new puzzle experience that lets you explore a fascinating recursive world. Model is a first-person puzzle game that immerses you in a strange world like you’ve never seen before.
Players are immersed in a vibrant, magical world where every item, building, or plant you encounter has both a large and a small version of itself. The world itself seems to exist in itself.
If you see an elaborate piece of architecture looming above you, you will also find a miniature version somewhere around you. As you move towards the center of the world you will find yourself towering over buildings like a giant, but if you move further away everything else just gets bigger and bigger.
The puzzles can be solved by manipulating the miniature version of the world objects to go through different levels. This is best explained by seeing him in action through the gameplay trailer.
In this gameplay trailer, you are shown an example of a huge cube blocking your path. It’s too heavy and too big to lift, but all you have to do is walk around the tiny world. In this area you will see the big world recreated identically in a miniature version – with a tiny version of the cube.
The smaller cube is easier to lift, which simultaneously lifts the larger cube so you can access the rest of the area. Another example is shown using an object as a bridge to move to the next area.
A puzzle game with an added love story
If that wasn’t confusing enough, there’s a whole love affair for good measure. Maquette is the story of two characters, Kenzie and Michael, who meet in the world and engage in an awkward flirtation. Throughout their journey, each chapter brings new stories and lessons of love, loss and acceptance.
When will Maquette be released?
